Define the question, then use materials and sources to inform your judgment.
Name the question to answer
Specify the subject, time period, comparison criteria and intended use. For example: “Compare three services for independent designers by price, deliverables and intended audience.”
Provide material and source requirements
Attach files you already have and describe preferred sources for web research. Ask for verified facts, hypotheses and gaps to be distinguished, with links you can revisit.
Check the coverage
Large documents may be read by page, table or selected portion. Review the stated coverage and verify that key conclusions are supported by the original material. Ask for missing sections in the same task.
